Taipei Game Show 2010 concludes انتهاء معرض تايبيه للألعاب

The 2010 Taipei Game Show (TGS, not to mix with Tokyo Game Show) is concluding today, at the Taipei World Trade Center in Taiwan, after around 62 game developers and distributors showed countless new games at 450 booths. Now in its 18th year, TGS offers five days of fun and entertainment to gamers of all kinds, from online games to PC and console games.

TGS 2009 attracted over 300,000 visitors, making it one of Asia’s leading trade fairs for games. TGS receives more global attention as well because of its its close ties to the booming Chinese market.

One of TGS’s big events is the Intel Extreme Masters Asian Championship, bringing the best gamers from Asia, Australia and New Zealand to the show. The contest featured exciting tournaments for Counter- Strike 1.6, World of Warcraft, and Quake Live, with a total prize purse of $49,000. The tournament will be played on the world’s most reliable gaming laptop, the M17x provided by Alienware, the official laptop of the Intel Extreme Masters. The Intel Extreme Masters World Championship will be held at CeBIT 2010, taking place in coming March in Germany.

Alongside those tournaments, Replay Interactive, THQ, and Gigabyte organized the Dawn of War 2 Asian Finals, which witnessed stiff competition, the likes of which you see in pro Japanese tournaments. Ravana and TH15 of Team 1MS from Singapore won the Dawn of War 2 Asian Finals, and got themselves $1,500 in cash, and Gigabyte M1305 laptops, fitted with an additional dock that adds an Nvidia GeForce GT220 GPU with 1GB of DDR3, turning it into a real gaming monster rig.

انتهاء معرض تايوان 2010 للألعاب

انتهت اليوم فعاليات معرض تايبيه 2010 للألعاب (Taipei Game Show – TGS) (ولا يختلط الأمر عليكم مع معرض طوكيو للألعاب Tokyo game Show)، وذلك في مركز التجارة العالمي في العاصمة تايبيه في تايوان، وذلك بعد أن شارك فيه أكثر من 62 شركة تطوير وتوزيع للألعاب، قاموا خلاله بعرض عدد كبير من انتاجاتهم في 450 جناحاً مختلفاً. ويؤمن هذا المعرض الذي يحتفل بذكراه الثامنة عشر، خمسة أيام من التسلية للاعبين من مختلف الاتجاهات والأعمار، ابتداءً من ألعاب الإنترنت وحتى ألعاب الحاسوب وأجهزة اللعب المنزلية.

في العام الماضي، استقطب معرض TGS 2009 قرابة 300.000 زائر، مما يجعله أحد أكبر المعارض استقطاباً للزوار في آسيا، كما يحظى هذا المعرض باهتمام عالمي كبير لقربه من السوق الصينية المزدهرة.

أحد أبرز الفعاليات التي تمت في المعرض هي بطولة Championship intel Extreme Masters Asian التي جمعت أفضل اللاعبين من آسيا و أستراليا ونيوزيلندا للتنافس فيما بينهم في ألعاب Counter Strike 1.6، World of Warcraft و Quake Live، مع مجموع جوائز تصل إلى 49.000 دولار. كما جرت مراسم هذه المسابقات على أحد أكثر أجهزة الحاسوب الشخصي المحمولة وثوقية في عالم الألعاب: M17x من شركة Alienware، وهو الجهاز الرسمي المستخدم في البطولة العالمية The Intel Extreme Masters World Championship والتي ستقام تصفياتها العالمية في مارس القادم بألمانيا، ضمن فعاليات معرض 2010 CeBIT.

إضافة إلى هذه المسابقات، فقد نظمت شركات Replay Interactive و  THQ و Gigabyte نهائيات البطولة الأسيوية للعبة Dawn of War 2 ، والتي شهدت منافسات حامية جداً، شبيهة بالتي تشهدها المنافسات اليابانية للمحترفين. واستطاع اللاعبان Ravana و TH15 من فريق 1MS السنغفوري من تحقيق كاس البطولة وحصلوا على جائزة مالية قدرها 1500 دولار، إضافة إلى أجهزة محمولة من طراز Gigabyte M1305، مع قطعة خاصة تضم للجهاز وتحتوي بطاقة إظهار Nvidia GeForce GT220 مع 1GB من ذواكر DDR3، مما يحولة إلى وحش متخصص بطحن ألعاب الفيديو بكل سهولة.
