THQ slipped out the first details on the Ranger Pack for Metro 2033. The Ranger Pack adds new weapons, new achievements and the deadly ‘Ranger Mode’ game rules. In standard Ranger Mode, ammo is dramatically reduced and all weapons cause more damage. Your foes are deadlier than ever – but so are you! ‘Ranger Hardcore’ adds an additional challenge as the HUD is totally removed, creating the most immersive Metro 2033 experience yet.

[Review] Metro 2033 تقرير لعبة مترو

Metro 2033 is set in a post apocalyptic Russia. All the inhabitants have taken refuge in the sprawling underground Metro system in order to survive. They have set up small shanty towns and markets, and the survivors use the network of tunnels as an improvised road system that only the brave dare use in order to communicate and trade with other towns. The apocalypse that took place on the surface created a variety of mutants that now constantly harass and attack the survivors. You take control of Artyom, a young inhabitant of the Metro, and you must follow him on a lengthy quest in order to pass a message to another town.

[Hands on] Metro 2033 تجربة لعبة مترو

Instead of the traditional fancy locations, THQ; the publisher for the post apocalyptic first-person shooter Metro 2033, has chosen to go deep under the surface, 65 meters to be exact, to invite an army of videogames journalists and reporters to Moscow, Russia, to try out the game.

Modern Warfare 2 banned in Russia لعبة ‘مودرن وور فير’ ممنوعة في روسيا

The console version of Modern Warfare 2 has been banned, with all copies being recalled, in Russia due to the controversial ‘No Russian’ mission which depicts players as an undercover agent, helping out Russian terrorists in a airport lobby. Without spoiling the game, the Russian military is then shown as invading the US later on in the game.

To be fair, the first Modern Warfare was banned in most Middle Eastern countries as well since local terrorism was implied. While Infinity Ward has issued a patch for the Steam version of the game, which completely takes out the ‘No Russian’ mission, the console game will be re-released with that mission taken out within a month.

‘مودرن وور فير 2 ’ ممنوعة في روسيا

تم حظر بيع وتداول لعبة ‘مودرن وور فير 2’ في روسيا وسحب جميع نسخها بسبب مهمة ‘No Russian’ أي (بدون روس) المثيرة للجدل التي يلعب فيها اللاعب بشخصية عميل سري يساعد إرهابيين روس في أحد المطارات، وبدون أن أطيل عليكم وأفسد اللعبة يظهر العسكريين الروس لاحقاً في اللعبة وهم يغزون الولايات المتحدة. احقاقاً للحق، منعت ‘مودرن ووفير الأولى’ أيضاً من دخول بلدان الشرق الأوسط لأنها كانت تلمح للأرهاب المحلي.

اصدرت شركة ‘إنفينيتي’ تعديل لإصدارة ‘ستيم’ يلغي مهمة ‘No Russian’ برمتها، ومن المتوقع إعادة إصدار اللعبة بدون تلك المهمة المسيئة خلال شهر.

A science fiction novel written by the Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro 2033 tells the story of the last survivors who managed to retreat to the tunnels of Moscow Metro, the biggest air-raid shelter ever built, after a worldwide nuclear catastrophe decimated civilization in 2011. Metro stations have become mini-villages, their people uniting around ideas, religions, water-filters – or the simple need to repulse an enemy incursion.

[Rumour] Mass Effect 2 on PS3? شائعة: هل تصدر ‘ماس إيفكت 2’ للبلايستيشن3

GAME (Australia) is listing Mass Effect 2 on the PS3, with the same release date as the Xbox 360 version. Normally this would’ve been considered a simple mistake on the retailer’s part, but EA Russia is also listing the game for the Playstation 3. Honestly, EA publishing the game as multiplatform instead of an exclusive makes sense, but why not announce this earlier? Perhaps the PS3 version is being handled by some other studio and BioWare is busy on the Xbox 360 and PC version? For now, let’s wait an see what EA has to say about this.

هل تصدر ‘ماس إيفكت2’ للبلايستيشن 3؟

صنفت مجلة ‘جايم’ الاسترالية لعبة ‘ماس إيفكت 2’ على أنها لعبة للـ ‘بلايستيشن 3’ وحددت نفس توقيت إصدارة الأكس بوكس  360 موعداً لإصدارها، وعادة كنا سنعتبرها غلطة مطبعية بريئة، ولكن EA روسيا صنفتها أيضاً على أنها لعبة تصدر للبلايستيشن 3، وإحقاقاً للحق أقول أن إصدار اللعبة لمنصات متعددة تصرف منطقي ولكن السؤال الذي يطرح نفسه الآن هو: لماذا لم يتم الإعلان عن ذلك من قبل؟ هل يكون السبب أن استوديو آخر هو الذي يقوم بتطوير إصدارة البلايستيشن 3 لأن ‘بيوير’ مشغولة بإصدارات الأكس بوكس 360 ولحاسوب؟ دعونا ننتظر تصريحات EA في هذا الشأن.
