Nintendo DSi price drops ’تخفيض أسعار ‘نينتندو دي اس آي

Nintendo announced a price drop for their entire DS range in Japan effective June 19th, along with 3 new colours for the DSi XL. This move comes ahead of the anticipated announcement of the 3DS console, supposedly coming out later this year. UK retailers will receive a similar price drop on June 18th.

MCV has come to know that Sony will announce a new incentive to push sales of the PSPgo. Anyone who registered his / her PSPgo after April 1st 2010 will be entitled to download up to 10 full games. Titles in the deal include Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, 2010 FIFA World Cup and Grand Theft Auto.

Final Fantasy 7 & 8 rules the PSN charts for the PSP فاينل فانتسي 7 و 8 تتصدر قوائم مبيعات بي اس بي الرقمية

PULSE is a free high definition video showcase about what’s happening right now in the world of PlayStation. The program features new Blu-ray disc and PlayStation Network releases from the PlayStation Store, including games, demos, movies and television series available for PS3 and PSP. Lately, the top 10 PSP’s most popular digital purchase of 2010 thus far was announce during the PULSE show, and not to our surprise, Final Fantasy 7 and 8 rules the charts!! It just shows how popular is this series, even the old releases and re-releases.

DSi XL dated and priced تسعير جهاز دي اس الجديد وتحديد موعد إطلاقه

In their press conference yesterday, Nintendo finally revealed details of their latest handheld revision for the DS. Coming in at $190 (AED 700), the DSi XL will be out on March 28th in the US. Engadget’s hands-on reports that despite the screen increase from 3.25″ to 4.2″, the image clarity hasn’t suffered. So while the bigger screen provides a more brighter and (still) clear image, the size of the XL makes it difficult to pocket.

The UK prices and dates were announced last month, to be out on 5th March for £140. I personally don’t play my handheld consoles on the go, and when I do, it’s for quite a long time. If Engadget is to be believed, and the screen size increase doesn’t affect the image clarity, then I’ll definitely be picking this up next week. That said, has anyone already seen it for sale in the Middle East?

Nintendo’s DS2 and Sony’s PSP2 coming soon? الكشف عن أجهزة اللعب المحمولة الجديدة من نينتيندو وسوني قريباً!

In this weekend’s podcast for 4Guys 1Up, former Editor at EGM and now Director of Business Development at Ignition Entertainment, Shane Bettenhausen, discussed about this year’s E3 and what we can expect to see there. Specifically, he talked about the successors to Sony and Nintendo’s current handheld consoles, saying “I think the big story of E3 is DS 2 and PSP 2. I’m really excited to see that.”
