DC Universe goes live in November توافر لعبة ‘دي سي يونيفرس’ لايف في نوفمبر

In a recent interview, Sony Online Entertainment has told GameSpot the release date for their highly anticipated MMO, DC Universe Online. The game is now slated for a November release date this year, for the PS3 and the PC.

Do you love LEGO’s colorful interlocking plastic bricks, array of gears and mini-figures? If so, then how far are you willing to go for a chance to enter LEGO’s online universe? Do you love LEGO enough to pay $39.99 to buy LEGO Universe game? Which is good for only one month, after which you need to keep paying a monthly subscription fee of $9.99 a month, or $49.99 for six months, or $89.99 a year. I don’t know about you, but I’ll stay out of this expensive universe!

Dynamic events detailed in Guild Wars 2 ‘تفاصيل أحداث ديناميكية في ‘جيلد وورز 2

The official Guild Wars 2 blog has been updated with more information about the dynamic event system used in Guild Wars 2. Colin Johanson, the Lead Content Designer for Guild Wars 2, spoke at large about how the event system will fix many of the core flaws with quests in traditional MMOs. He assures GW2 players that if a character says ogres are coming to destroy a house, they will really come and smash down the house if no one stopped them!

Without official or proper announcement, we’ve come to know that Du, the second Telecom operator in UAE, is hard at work localizing two MMOs. The first game is called Empire of Sports, and the second is Exalight. Both MMOs are being developed by the French company F4, a Paris-based online games developer.

Gamers embrace preimum digital content اللاعبون يتقبلون فكرة شراء المحتويات والبضائع الرقمية

Venturebeat has posted a nice report about how gamers are embracing the new virtual goods module, where gamers play a free game (i.e. MMO), then increase their involvement level by purchasing virtual goods. According to a new report by market researcher DFC Intelligence and virtual goods platform company Live Gamer, 88% of 4,816 gamers surveyed purchased some form of digital content, including music, movies and games. About 60 percent of respondents said they had purchased a virtual good inside a game. The report is based on 7 years of virtual good transaction data from games released in Korea, U.S. Germany, Japan, the Philippines and Vietnam.

Sony launches its Facebook MMO game: PoxNora سوني تطلق لعبة مغامرات اللعب الجماعي “بوكس نورا” على فيسبوك

In January 2009, Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) announced the acquisition of the PoxNora, an online collectible strategy game from Octopi, LLC (now known as SOE Tucson). Since then, the game has enjoyed steady expansion in reach and popularity with over 2.5 million registered accounts. PoxNora combines turn-based strategy elements with basic mechanics of a collectible card game. While the game is free-to-play initially, a player who wants to build his or her own deck needs to spend money at PoxNora’s item shop to acquire new cards, or “runes” in game terminology.
