[Ubisoft] Avatar game sells nearly 2.7mil ’بيع ما يقرب من 2.7 مليون وحدة من لعبة ‘افاتار

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has told analysts during a conference call that “The game Avatar performed ahead of our expectation in the quarter, notably on Wii, and ended up close to 2.7 million units sold in the full year, delivering a positive contribution for the company. The game continues to sell well, notably thanks to the launch of the movie DVD.” The good news is the announcement that there will be a sequel to Avatar the Movie, which will explore the oceans of the untamed world of Pandora. An extended version of the first Avatar will be re-released in theaters this summer, which will once again boost sales of the game.

[Review] Avatar: The Game تقرير لعبة أفتار

Movie tie-ins always tend to suck, and so many bad games have been made on film licenses. Some experts reason this to the fact that it takes a year to shoot a film, but it takes longer to develop a decent game. If we accept that theory, then Ubisoft should have brought one hell of an Avatar game, as Avatar the movie took many long years till it reached cinemas.
