New GT 5 leaked replay videos تسريب مجموعة أفلام للعبة جي تي الخامسة

A mysterious Youtube user by the name of mimaximax has posted a bunch of videos on his channel showing the latest “demo build” of Gran Turismo 5 . The videos show replays of various cars in the Super GT racing series, such as Petronas TOM’s SC430, ARTA NSX, Yellow Hat Supra, Nissan Motul Autec GT-R, and the Lexus Weds Sport IS350 (on the Nurburgring), etc.

No word yet on who all have access to this “demo” of GT5, and whether it will be available to the public at a later date. Whatever the case, we’ll make sure to bring you word as soon as we hear something. In the meanwhile, hit the jump below to see why this is still the racing simulation game to beat (at least visually), and why every car fanatic should buy it!

Sony confirms 3D games for this summer سوني تؤكد إصدارها لألعاب فيديو مجسمة هذا الصيف

Talking to Eurogamer during GDC this weekend, Sony’s Simon Benson confirmed that 3D games will be coming out on the PS3 during June. This is the time when Sony’s new 3D Bravia TV sets will be hitting the market.

[Japan] Gran Turismo 5 delayed 5 تأخير إطلاق لعبة جران توريسمو في اليابان

Sony announced a couple of hours back that they will be delaying GT5 from the expected March release date to an unconfirmed date in Japan. The reasons are your typical development issues. The Western release of the title was earlier announced to be Summer of this year, and has a strong possibility of getting delayed as well. Surely whatever problems have led to the delay of the Japanese version of the game will also filter into the Western release. Costing over $60 million, the game is said to feature up to 1000 cars with 20 different tracks and 70 variations all told. Interestingly Sony has not lowered their sales target for the PS3, with expected sales to reach 13 million units sold for period ending 31st March 2010.

UPDATE: Sony confirmed to Eurogamer that the delay is “only applicable for the Japanese market”. Smart move there, since no date for the US/ EU release has been announced, so they can always delay the game and we would be none the wiser!

[Covered] Gran Turismo 5مرسيدس جديدة على غلاف لعبة جران توريزمو

We knew this already, and now you can see it for yourselves: the GT5 cover featuring the Mercedes SLS AMG in all its red hot sweetness!

The SLS may have its roots from the 1952 300SL Gullwing of yore, but it’s the true successor to the 2003 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren supercar. The SLR had a Supercharged 5.4L v8, pumping out 617hp and launching the car from 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds. While not as visceral as it’s predecessor,  the AMG tuned SLS packs a 6.2L Naturally Aspirated engine with 563 horses under the hood. It may not look as powerful, but the SLS AMG is 148kgs lighter than the SLR, giving it a similar launch time of 3.8 seconds.
