In a recent blog post, Resident Evil 5’s Director Yasuhiro Anpo posted that the upcoming scenario campaigns for the Gold Edition release were meant to be extra content when the game released last year.

The scenarios follows Jill’s escape from the Tri-Cell facility “Desperate Escape” and “Lost in Nightmares”. These extra story missions will be included in the RE5 Gold Edition and will also be available for download separately for those who already own the original game. According to Anpo, the reason why these scenarios weren’t included in the original release was due to the cost and development of the in-game cutscenes that couldn’t be ready on time. In fact, at one point they were also considering using animated comic-styled sequences to replace the in-game cutscenes. I would’ve preferred the bonus content on the original disc with the comic-styled cutscenes, providing a unique look to the story and also saving me some money in the process, but that’s just me.

المفترض طرح إضافات لعبة ريزيدنت إيفل 5 على اسطوانة لا للتحميل

في موضوع جديد على مدونته الخاصة، اعترف مخرج لعبة Resident Evil 5 “يوشيرو أنبو” بأنه كان من المفترض تضمين المراحل الإضافية (الإصدار الذهبي القادم من اللعبة)، في النسخة التي صدرت العام المنصرم كمضمون إضافي.

تركز المراحل الجديدة على هروب “جل” من مركز Tri-Cell ضمن مرحلتي “Desperate Escape” و “Lost in Nightmares” وسيتم وضعها في الإصدارة الذهبية من لعبة Resident Evil 5 Golden Edition كما سيتم توفيرها للتحميل من الإنترنت بشكل منفصل للزبائن الذين اشتروا الإصدار العادي من اللعبة. ووفقاً للسيد “أنبو” فإن سبب عدم وضع المراحل السابقة في اللعبة الأساسية هو كلفة وتأخر مقاطع الأفلام البينية فيها، بل انهم تناقشوا في فترة من الفترات على تحويل تلك الأفلام الى قصص مصورة يتم عرضها بين المراحل بدلاً عن الأفلام الحالية. ” لقد رغبت بأن يتم تحويل كل أفلام اللعبة البينية الى شكل قصص مصورة وبذلك أوفر المال وأعطي للعبة شكلاً فنياً مميزاً، ولكن ذلك كان رأي الشخصي وليس القرار بيدي”

The first DLC for Resident Evil 5 hits on 17th Feb, 2010. The DLC will have a new campaign episode called “Lost in Nightmares,” which sees Jill and Chris investigating Ozwell Spencer’s hideaway, experiencing his experiments first hand.

No idea on how long the episode will last or the price as of yet. What we do know is that a new multiplayer mode “Mercenaries Reunion” will also be released with 8 new playable characters. Again, nothing specific on who they are either, but given the name of the mode, expect old favourites to return. Costumes for Sheva and Chris will also be released.

Capcom has further plans to release a second episode some time in March next year as well, along with more characters and costumes. If all of this is too much for you to get a hold of, you can buy the original game plus all the DLC next November for $50 (AED 184), appropriately dubbed RE5: Gold Edition. Interestingly all the content comes on the Bluray while the DVD version Xbox 360 comes only with the game itself and code for the DLC.

تصدر في 17 فبراير (شباط) 2010 أول مجموعة من المحتويات القابلة للتنزيل وستتضمن حملة جديدة اسمها ‘لوست إن نايت ميرز’  Lost in Nightmares حيث يقوم ‘جيل’ و‘كريس’ فيها بفحص مخباً ‘أوزويل سبنسر’ واختبار تجاربه بأنفسهم، كما ستشتمل المحتويات على مجموعة من الملابس والأزياء الخاصة بـ‘شيفا’ و‘كريس’ .

لا نعرف حجم هذه الحملة ولا سعرها حتى الآن، كل ما نعرفه أنه سيتم إصدار نمط لعب جماعي جديد اسمه ‘ميرسيناريز ريونيون ’   Mercenaries Reunion أي عودة المرتزقة وهذا النمط يقدم 8 شخصيات قابلة للعب بها، وعلى الرغم من أن تلك الشخصيات مجهولة الهوية إلا أن اسم النمط يعطي انطباعاً بأن سنتقابل مرة أخرى مع مجموعة من أبطالنا القدامى المفضلين.

تعتزم شركة ‘كابكوم’ طرح جزء ثاني والمزيد من الملابس والشخصيات في مارس (أذار) من العام القادم. إذا تعذر عليكم الحصول على كل ما سبق، يمكنكم شراء إصدارة اللعبة الأصلية ومعها كل المحتويات القابلة للتنزيل في نوفمبر (تشرين الثاني) القادم مقابل 50 دولار أمريكي، بما يعادل 184 درهم إماراتي.
