EA FIFA Superstars coming to Facebook ‘الكترونيكس آرتس’ تقدم لكم ‘فيفا سوبر ستارز’ على ‘فايسبوك

To coincide with the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010, starting next month, EA has announced FIFA Superstars, the Facebook version of EA’s FIFA soccer games. FIFA Superstars mainly aims to connect football fans from across the growing Facebook community. Announced by EA Sports president, Peter Moore, on his blog. “Soon our partnership with Playfish will allow us to bring the FIFA brand to the growing Facebook community with a new game called FIFA Superstars.”

Battle.net <3 Facebook باتل.نت على الفيس بوك

Blizzard has announced a new integration between their Battle.net service and Facebook. In the coming weeks, before July 27th, you’ll be able to add friends from facebook to your Battle.net friends list.

The new Facebook functionality in Battle.net will be tested in the near future via the ongoing StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta test and will be available to all StarCraft II players when the game ships later this year. Information about other Facebook-related features on Battle.net will be announced at a later date.

Sony’s The Agency: Covert Ops on Facebook لعبة ذا إيجنسي من شركة سوني على موقع فيس بوك

Sony Online Entertainment are well known for their MMOs (Everquest, Free Realms, etc) and one of their upcoming MMOs, The Agency, has been long in oven. While the release date on this spy themed MMO (think True Lies, Mr. & Mrs. Smith) is not finalised yet, fans can tide themselves with the facebook version of the game.

In his weekly show, Pach-Attack, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter had some interesting predictions for Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold service, and how Microsoft could increase the price if they wanted. Currently the Gold subscription allows Xbox 360 players to play games online and purchase DLC, XBLA games, Zune video content, etc. for $50 a year.

Sony launches its Facebook MMO game: PoxNora سوني تطلق لعبة مغامرات اللعب الجماعي “بوكس نورا” على فيسبوك

In January 2009, Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) announced the acquisition of the PoxNora, an online collectible strategy game from Octopi, LLC (now known as SOE Tucson). Since then, the game has enjoyed steady expansion in reach and popularity with over 2.5 million registered accounts. PoxNora combines turn-based strategy elements with basic mechanics of a collectible card game. While the game is free-to-play initially, a player who wants to build his or her own deck needs to spend money at PoxNora’s item shop to acquire new cards, or “runes” in game terminology.

“You are a leader of a nation. You begin in the Stone Age, and complete the game in the XXIth century. Your goal is to become the dominant civilization in the world, either by wiping out everybody else, or being the first to get a space ship to Alpha Centauri.” This is what the first Civilization game promised the players back in 1991 when it launched on DOS, Win 3.1, Amiga, Atari ST, and the SNES. A turn based strategy game, Civilization kept on bringing new releases and expansion packs, first directed by Sid Meier, the mastermind who created the series and many spin-offs, and later by many others.
