Game Informer is Australia’s top gaming mag ‘جايم إنفورمر’ أفضل مجلة ألعاب في استراليا

Game Informer is by far the world’s most read games magazine, with over three million subscribers in the US. The Aussie edition of Game Informer was launched before end of last year, published by Citrus Media and backed by EB Games. Now, Citrus Media has announced that the magazine has amassed 10,000 loyal subscribers in Australia, becoming the first local video game publication to achieve that.

Prince of Persia The Movie secures first spot in 41 countries فيلم ‘أمير فارس’ يحتل المركز الأول عند عرضه في 41 دولة

Ubisoft must be feeling so happy for such good news for the Prince’s movie, as its last Prince of Persia game, The Forgotten Sands, is not doing good enough with games reviewers, averaging 75 on Metacritic.com. It’s common for videogame tie-ins to sell well if their counterpart movie fares well, and vice versa. According to hollywoodreporter.com, Prince of Persia movie drew $61.7 million from 9.712 screens in 48 territories for an early international cumulative of $97.7 million through Monday.

London gamers smash NDS world record أكبر تجمع عالمي لمحبي منصة ألعاب في لندن

Gamers at the London MCM Expo have smashed the Guinness World Record for the Largest Handheld Game Console Party. More than 580 people gathered at Excel on Saturday 29 May with their Nintendo DS handheld consoles to break the previous record of 381 people, held by Australia.

Taipei Game Show 2010 concludes انتهاء معرض تايبيه للألعاب

The 2010 Taipei Game Show (TGS, not to mix with Tokyo Game Show) is concluding today, at the Taipei World Trade Center in Taiwan, after around 62 game developers and distributors showed countless new games at 450 booths. Now in its 18th year, TGS offers five days of fun and entertainment to gamers of all kinds, from online games to PC and console games.

TGS 2009 attracted over 300,000 visitors, making it one of Asia’s leading trade fairs for games. TGS receives more global attention as well because of its its close ties to the booming Chinese market.

[Rumour] Mass Effect 2 on PS3? شائعة: هل تصدر ‘ماس إيفكت 2’ للبلايستيشن3

GAME (Australia) is listing Mass Effect 2 on the PS3, with the same release date as the Xbox 360 version. Normally this would’ve been considered a simple mistake on the retailer’s part, but EA Russia is also listing the game for the Playstation 3. Honestly, EA publishing the game as multiplatform instead of an exclusive makes sense, but why not announce this earlier? Perhaps the PS3 version is being handled by some other studio and BioWare is busy on the Xbox 360 and PC version? For now, let’s wait an see what EA has to say about this.

هل تصدر ‘ماس إيفكت2’ للبلايستيشن 3؟

صنفت مجلة ‘جايم’ الاسترالية لعبة ‘ماس إيفكت 2’ على أنها لعبة للـ ‘بلايستيشن 3’ وحددت نفس توقيت إصدارة الأكس بوكس  360 موعداً لإصدارها، وعادة كنا سنعتبرها غلطة مطبعية بريئة، ولكن EA روسيا صنفتها أيضاً على أنها لعبة تصدر للبلايستيشن 3، وإحقاقاً للحق أقول أن إصدار اللعبة لمنصات متعددة تصرف منطقي ولكن السؤال الذي يطرح نفسه الآن هو: لماذا لم يتم الإعلان عن ذلك من قبل؟ هل يكون السبب أن استوديو آخر هو الذي يقوم بتطوير إصدارة البلايستيشن 3 لأن ‘بيوير’ مشغولة بإصدارات الأكس بوكس 360 ولحاسوب؟ دعونا ننتظر تصريحات EA في هذا الشأن.
