XBLA grants Microsoft over $100M in revenue شبكة اكس بوكس لايف أركيد تحقق أكثر من 100مليون $ أرباحاً لمايكروسوفت

According to a recent report released by Forecasting and Analyzing Digital Entertainment (FADE), a strategic market research and consulting firm focused on electronic entertainment and the emerging download and mobile game markets, Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade sales were up 34% year-on-year to $103.4 million (not including downloadable content, community games, or games on demand services). As per the report, the average price of XBLA games “increased rapidly” during 2009, from an average of $8.33 in 2008 to $9.12.

[Semi-dated] After Burner Climax coming to XBLA/PSN لعبة أفتر بيرنر كلايماكس قادمة على شبكات

SEGA recently announced that they’ll be releasing the long awaited After Burner Climax arcade game onto Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this spring, so it’s definitely going to come out by April or even before it. The game is similar to the Ace Combat series, but feels completely arcadey; that is to say, more fun and less of a learning curve. There’s supposedly varying levels of difficulty for the casual and hardcore crowd. The Climax in the title comes from the ‘Climax mode’ which is used to go into bullet-time where everything slows down making it easier to dodge bullets rockets and aim with higher precision. Get ready to have some of the best dogfighting experience yet!

[XBL] Master Chief reigns supreme! لعبة هيلو تتصدر القائمة على شبكة اكس بوكس لايف

Xbox Live’s Director of Programming Larry Hryb (aka Major Nelson) posted the Xbox Live activity stats for 2009. This list includes most unique users who played multiplayer games on Xbox Live and Xbox Live Arcade. What shocked us the most were the Modern Warfare 2 (and 1) rankings.

[CES 2010] MW2 DLC; Natal Date; Game Room; 39m served مرحلة إضافية من موديرن وارفير2، تاريخ إصدار ناتال، غرفة الألعاب الافتراضية و39 مليون مستخدم

The 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) – the world’s largest consumer electronics trade show – officially kicked off yesterday night in Las Vegas, and Microsoft delivered their annual keynote where they shared some interesting Xbox 360 news. Microsoft announced that the current global install base of Xbox 360’s has surpassed 39 million consoles, while over 500 million games have been sold since the console launched, generating $20 billion in sales.

[XBL] Divinity II demo + Shadow Complex sale نسخة تجريبية من لعبة ديفينتي 2 وسعر خاص للعبة شادو كومبليكس

A quick and simple update on Xbox Live happenings this Christmas week. The demo for Divinity II: Ego Draconis is already on Xbox Live Marketplace. The game is an action-RPG with some decent reviews from various European publications.  I’m genuinely surprised the game is getting a demo on XBL before release. Should be a nice close-out of 2009 for those of you who’ve already finished Dragon Age: Origins.

The other bit of news is that Shadow Complex is the Deal of the Week on Xbox Live Arcade, going for just 800MS points. If you havent heard of this game before, you should just take our word for it, and download this brilliant side-scrolling shooter!

Square Enix drops 0 Day: Attack on Earth Dec 23rd شركة سكوير إينكس تطلق لعبتها الجديدة في 23 ديسمبر

While Japan is anticipating the release of one of the biggest RPGs in history, Square Enix throws the rest of the world a little bone to chew on. Us commoners get to save the world in this twin-stick shooter that will be out on XBLA on 23rd December.

The game uses (Google?) maps and reanimates popular cities such as Tokyo, Paris and New York where players fend off invading aliens in the skies. The game features 4 player co-op and 8 players multiplayer mode. 0 Day: Attack on Earth will be available for 1200MS points.

[Dated] ARMY OF TWO: THE 40th DAY Demo نسخة تجريبة من لعبة أرمي اوف تو

EA Montreal has announced that the demo for ARMY OF TWO: THE 40th DAY will be available as a free download on PSN and Xbox LIVE Marketplace on coming Thursday, December 17th. The demo will include most of the first level in the game, where the iconic two-man private military team of Salem and Rios find themselves trapped in Shanghai as it falls under attack, and is playable via online co-op or in split screen. A demo for the PSP will also be freely available on PSN in North America on January 7th and in Europe on January 14th.
