New details for Split/Second

In a press event yesterday, we were invited to Dubai Mall’s Reel Cinemas. Sitting on our Platinum Class leather sofas chairs, we witnessed Split/Second’s destruction and carnage the way it’s meant to be seen, on a huge cinema screen with proper surround sound, in comfort.

Bethesda to publish Hunted: The Demon’s Forge لعبة القتال الخيالية “هنتد: ديمونز فورج”

Bethesda Softworks has announced that it will publish Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, a third-person co-op fantasy action game, currently being developed at inXile Entertainment for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PCs. Interestingly enough, inXile Entertainment was founded in by Brian Fargo, who  has been behind some of the greatest fantasy franchises, including The Bard’s Tale, Baldur’s Gate, and Fallout. Hunted’s development is being overseen by Fargo while Michael “Maxx” Kaufman serves as the game’s Director. Previously, Kaufman served as Art Director on such titles as Kingpin: Life of Crime, Redneck Rampage and Return to Castle Wolfenstein at Gray Matter.

Sony confirms 3D games for this summer سوني تؤكد إصدارها لألعاب فيديو مجسمة هذا الصيف

Talking to Eurogamer during GDC this weekend, Sony’s Simon Benson confirmed that 3D games will be coming out on the PS3 during June. This is the time when Sony’s new 3D Bravia TV sets will be hitting the market.

THQ plans 6 ‘aggressive’ downloadable games شركة تي اتش كيو تخطط لطرح 6 ألعاب للتحميل

During GDC 2010, Joystiq magazine interviewed THQ executive VP of Core Games, Danny Bilson, who announced that THQ plans to release “up to six” downloadable titles within the next year, some based on “two or three” of THQ’s biggest franchises. For this mission, THQ has assigned 2 studios: THQ Digital Studios Phoenix (formerly Rainbow Studios) and THQ Digital Studios UK (formerly Juice Games).

[DLC] Modern Warfare 2 maps overpriced? هل الخرائط الإضافية للعبة مودرن وورفير الثانية مبالغ في سعرها

The new downloadable map packs for Modern Warfare 2, aka the “Stimulus Package”, will be upon us on March 30th with five three brand new maps. Two additional maps are ported over from the original Modern Warfare, which are treated as classic re-releases of “Crash” and “Overgrown”.

[Review] Aliens vs Predator تقرير لعبة إلينز فرسس بريدتر

Aliens vs Predator (AvP) is a game that combines two of the greatest movie icons from the last two decades.  This franchise reboot maintains the formula of being part stealth, part horror and part shooter. Aliens, Predators and Colonial Marines clash together on a planet that has set pieces from the past few films, such as the ancient temples from the first Alien vs Predator movie, and the jungles from the original Predator. While the story is not ground breaking, it does hold your attention until the end. Each species have their own short campaigns that overlap each other throughout the main storyline. This offers a different perspective on the same situation, while offering a unique experience for each side with vastly different gameplay mechanics. The Colonial Marine campaign is the most polished and the longest, while the Alien and Predator campaigns feel somewhat rushed.
