It only happens twice a year, EA’s SEMI-ANNUAL SALE, featuring over 25 games for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad at prices reduced up to 50%. Now and for two days, EA has reduced the prices of 17 of its titles further to $0.99.

تقوم ‘ إليكترونيكس آرتس’ EA بتخفيض أسعارها مرتان سنوياً ، وها قد حان موعد التخفيض النصف سنوي -بنسبة 50% ولمدة يومين- على 15 لعبة للـ‘آي فون’ و‘آي بود تتش’ و‘آي باد’ كما خفضت ‘إليكترونيكس آرتس’ أسعار 17 لعبة من لعبها ليصل سعر الواحدة 0.99 دولار وهذه الألعاب الـ17 هي:

Well, if they don’t, go ahead and buy a grey imported console, as Microsoft Gulf (that part of MS responsible for the MEA region) is known for being light years behind the rest of the world. The first Xbox was never officially launched in the Middle East, it took a local partner to convince Microsoft to endorse the pseudo Official Xbox360 launch ages after the official Xbox360 world release, and to date not a single Microsoft personnel would tell you when or if Xbox Live will be officially launched in Arabia.

Having said that, Xboxes are becoming cheaper as we speak, in the US and Europe at least. We doubt the major players would bring down the prices and endanger a steady stream of income selling those consoles, notorious for their red rings of death. Nevertheless, God bless online stores and importers willing to go the extra mile and bring the recently launched consoles in no time.

Boneless Arcade bundles of Xboxes are retailing for $149 (or 550 AED/SAR) on Amazon and Best Buy, while Elites stepped down to $249. Similar price discounts are sighted in Europe as well, prior to the official release date of the Xbox360 Slim, slated for July 17, 2010 release date.

As for the Middle East, we do not need to ask Microsoft Gulf, we already know the answer, they will go back to Microsoft Europe and come back with an answer, hopefully in this life time!

هل ستنخفض أسعار ‘اكس بوكس 360’ في الشرق الأوسط؟

لو لم تنخفض فننصحك بشراء أحد الأجهزة المهربة فالمعرف عن ‘ميكروسوف’ الخليج (وهي القسم المختص بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط) أنها تتأخر قرون عن باقي العالم، فلم يطلق أكس بوكس الأصلي بشكل رسمي في الشرق الأوسط حتى الآن، حتى قام شريك محلي بإقناعها بإطلاق ‘اكس بوكس 360’ بعد سنين من إطلاقها عالمياً، وحتى هذه اللحظة لن تجد موظفاً واحداً في ميكروسوفت قارداً على إخبارك بموعد توافر خدمة ‘أكس بوكس لايف’ في الشرق الأوسط أو إن كانت ستتوافر أصلاً.

أسعار منصات ‘أكس بوكس’ تتراجع يوماً بعد يوم في الولايات المتحدة وأوروبا، ولا نظن أن المعنيين في المنطقة سيقتنعون بفكرة تخفيض أسعاره لضمان المزيد من المبيعات من هذه الأجهزة الشهيرة بدائرتها الحمراء القاتلة (للمنصة)، ولكن لا يهم، فليبارك الله لنا في المتاجر (أونلاين) والمستوردين الذين سيبادرون بإدخال المنصة الجديدة للمنطقة قريباً.

تباع منصة ‘أركيد’ بسعر 149 دولار أمريكي (أو 550 درهم إماراتي/ريال سعودي) على مواقع ‘أمازون’ و ‘بست باي’ بينما انخفضت أسعار منصات ‘إيليت’ لتباع بسعر 249 دولار أمريكي، كما أجريت خصومات مماثلة على أسعار المنصات في أوروبا قبل إطلاق ‘اكس بوكس 360 سليم’ رسميا في 17 يوليو (تموز) 2010.

أما بالنسبة لأسعار المنصة في الشرق الأوسط، فلا حاجة لنا لسؤال فرع ‘ميكروسوفت’ في الخليج، بل سنسأل ‘ميكروسوفت’ أوروبا لتعرف الإجابة ونأمل أن نحصل عليها في هذه الحياة.

Crackdown 2 demo unlimited-time glitch حيلة لتلعب ديمو ‘كراك داون 2’ دون التقيد بزمن محدد

This is the first game demo to allow Achievements that transfer to the retail game. All other creators take note that this is the way a demo should be made. But this is about making the demo play time unlimited so here is the instructions

Microsoft released the Crackdown 2 demo to the public and many are playing the game for one reason: Achievements. This is the first Xbox 360 game demo that allows you collect in game achievements and once you put the full retail release in your system, you’ll unlock 100 Achievement Points with no additional effort.

The catch is that the demo is locked to 30 minute game intervals, but, of course, there is a work around that will give you unlimited amount of time to collect the achievements and gallivant through the demo completing all the missions you want.

A clever user on the NeoGAF forums discovered this glitch:

1. Start the demo.
2. Choose your agent and his colour up until you press A to “deploy agent”.
3. Disconnect from the internet. I personally pulled out the ethernet cable in the back.
4. Quickly press A after disconnecting from the internet. When trying to join the game is should pop up a menu saying that friends can’t join because you’re online or something.
5. Hit B to cancel.
6. Reconnect to the internet and start up another game.
7. Demo time remaining will be stuck at 30 minutes for as long as you don’t start any races or things like that.

Co-op works too. Woohoo!!!! They need more demos like this!

خطأ في ديمو ‘كراك داون 2’ يمكنك من اللعب بها لمدة غير محددة

أطلقت ‘ميكروسوفت’ ديمو لعبة ‘كراك داون 2’ Crackdown 2 للـ‘اكس بوكس 360’ الذي بادر الكثيرون باللعب به -لسبب واحد- وهو الإنجازات، فهذا الديمو يعد الأول من نوعه الذي ينقل إنجازاتك فيه إلى اللعبة الكاملة بحيث تحصل على 100 نقطة إنجازات فور وضع قرص اللعبة الكاملة في جهازك، وعلى جميع مصممي الألعاب الآخرين الانتباه لهذا النوع الجديد من الديمو فهو المطلوب.

عادة يكون اللعب في أي ديمو محدد بمدة (30 دقيقة في كراك داون 2) ولكن تمكن مستخدم نابه من التغلب على هذا الشرط السخيف بحيث يصبح وقت اللعب ىالديمو غير محدود لتتمكن من اللعب كما يروق لك لتنهي ما يحلو لك من مهام. وإليكم كيف يمكنكم الإستفادة من هذه الميزة:

- إبدا اللعب بالديمو

- اختر عميلك ولونه وباقي الخيارات إلى أن يـُطلب منك الضغط على A لتجنيد العميل Deploy Agent

- أوقف اتصالك بالانترنت، لقد قمت بفصل كابل الإيثرنت

- اضغط A بسرعة بعد فقد الإتصال بالإنترنت، عندما تحاول اللعب سيفتح أمامك ما يشبه القائمة يخبرك أن الإصدقاء لا يمكنهم الإنضمام للعب لأنك أونلاين

- انقر B لإلغاء الأمر

- أعد الإتصال بالإنترنت وأبدأ دور جديد

- سيبقى الوقت المتبقى لك للعب في الديمو 30 دقيقة طالما لا تبدأ أي سباقات أو ما شابه
ويمكنك اللعب في نمط اللعب التعاوني أيضاً …مرحى!!! هكذا يصنع الديمو وإما فلا!

In fact the top 3 spots are the same as last week, with only 2 new entries, Cricket and MGS: Piece Walker. Summer is known for being a slow season, so it seems that RDR will enjoy lack of competition for some time now!

أفضل 20 لعبة في إنجلترا الأسبوع الماضي

ها قد انقضى أسبوع آخر ولا تزال لعبة ‘ريد ديد ريدمبشن’ تتربع على عرش أفضل ألعاب المملكة المتحدة لهذا الأسبوع، بل أن المراكز الثلاثة الأولى لا تزال محجوزة بنفس الألعاب منذ الأسبوع الماضي ولم يطرأ على القائمة أي تغيير سوى دخول لعبتين جديدتين عليها هما Cricket وMGS: Piece Walker. من المعروف أن الصيف هو موسم البيات الشتوي بالنسبة لعالم الألعاب ويبدو أن ‘ريد ديد ريدمبشن’ ستستمر في الاستمتاع بعدم وجود أي منافس لبعض الوقت.

Konami calls it Silent Hill 8 for now, as it’s just a working title. SH8 is currently in development state at Czech studio Vatra Games. Scheduled for release in 2011 for the Ps3 and Xbox360, Silent Hill 8 takes the form of a third-person horror experience. With an all-new thought-provoking storyline, players will once again find themselves face to face with their deepest sins and fears in the strange world of Silent Hill.

The new game begins after a prison transport vehicle careens off the road, leaving lone inmate Murphy Pendleton stranded in Silent Hill. As Pendleton takes in his new surroundings, users will encounter mind-bending puzzles and horrific creatures and otherworld terrors. Armed only with the everyday objects they can find – from wooden chairs to glass bottles – to fend off their enemies, fight or flight responses are left to the player as they unravel a dark, thought-provoking storyline which will appeal to fans of the early, classic Silent Hill series.

Silent Hill enjoys a wealth of new elements to create a deep, psychological horror experience. In addition to the main storyline, players will also be presented with variable side quests that will change depending on the user’s play style, revealing further unknown evils within the town.

تطلق ‘كونامي’ عليهامؤقتاً اسم ‘سايلنت هيل 8’ إلى أن تستقر على اسم لها، ويجري تطوير اللعبة الآن في ستوديوهات Vatra Games في التشيك ومن المقرر صدورها في 2011 لمنصات البلايستيشن وأكس بوكس 360 وهي لعبة من ألعاب الرعب بأفكار جديدة تماماً وأحداث مثيرة حيث يواجه اللاعبون مجدداً مخاوفهم في عالم ‘سايلنت هيل’ الغريب.

تبدأ اللعبة الجديدة بخروج حافلة تقل مسجونين عن الطريق ليجد السجين ‘ميرفي بيندلتون’ وحده في ‘سايلنت هيل’، وعندما يتفقد ‘ميرفي’ المنطقة المحيطة ستواجه معه مخلوقات الرهيبة وأحجيات محيرة ومستوى جديد من الرعب. تلعب بشخصية ‘ميرفي’ وتدافع عن نفسك متسلحاً بما تجده من أغراض في طريقك مثل الكراسي الخشبية والزجاجات وعليك الاختيار ما بين مواجهة عدوك أو الهروب منه. ستبهرون بالقصة من بدايتها إلى نهايتها وخاصة إذا كنتم من عشاق سلسلة ‘سايلنت هيل’.
