iPhone 4G (HD) coming this Summer? هل سيتم إطلاق آيفون 4 جي هذا الصيف

Continuing its practice of announcing new hardware at about the same time of year, Apple is rumored to release a new iPhone this summer, dubbed the iPhone 4G. The new model is expected to be thinner and faster, at least according to an article published by the Wall Street Journal. On the other hand, Engadget said they were informed that the fourth generation device would be announced on June 22nd and is set to be named the iPhone HD on account of its high resolution screen.

Technology pundit John Gruber went on to imply that the new iPhone will sport a 960×640 display, run on the multitasking iPhone OS 4, along with a second front-facing camera. The current iPhone screen resolution is 320×480, has one camera on the back, and is too lazy to offer multitasking. According to Wikipedia, Apple has sold around 33.75 million iPhones by end of  Q4 2009. The first iPhone was announced during MacWorld, on January 9, 2007.

استمراراً لعادتها في إطلاق أجهزة جديدة بنفس الفترة من كل عام، فقد بدأت الإشاعات تدور حول نية شركة Apple إطلاق جهاز iPhone الجديد خلال الصيف الحالي، واسمه الرمزي 4G. حيث يُتوقع أن يكون الطراز الجديد أنحف و أسرع، وذلك وفقاً لمقالة منشورة في Wall Street Journal. ومن ناحية أخرى، أشار موقع Engadget بأن الإعلان عن الجيل الرابع من أجهزة iPhone سيكوف في 22 يونيو المقبل، وسيكون اسمه iPhone HD وذلك لشاشته عالية الدقة.

كما أفاد جون غروبر وهو خبير تقني وصاحب موقع daringfireball.net بأن جهاز iPhone الجديد سيدعم تحديد شاشة قدره 960×640 بيكسل، وسيعمل على نظام تشغيل iPhone OS 4 الذي يدعم تشغيل أكثر من تطبيق بنفس الوقت، كما سيتم تزويده بكاميرا أخرى أمامية. ومن المعروف أن هاتف آيفون الحالي مزود بشاشة ذات دقة تحديد 320×240 بيكسل، وكاميرا واحدة على ظهره، ولا يستطيع تشغيل أكثر من تطبيق بنفس الوقت. ووفقاً لموقع موسوعة Wikipedia فقد نجحت شركة ابل ببيع 33.7 مليون جهاز مع نهاية الربع الرابع من عام 2009. كما تم الإعلان عن أول جهاز iPhone خلال معرض Mac World في 9 يناير 2007.
