What to make from THQ’s Fiscal 2010 Third Quarter Report?ما الذي يمكن استنتاجه من التقرير الفصلي الثالث لشركة تي اتش كيو

Companies must talk to their investors, reporting how well they’ve done in the last quarter, and discuss their future plans to make more money. THQ’s president and CEO, Brian Farrell, has revealed many things in THQ’s fiscal third quarter report. He announced that sequels were incoming for Saint’s Row (slated for 2012), Red Faction (slated for 2011), Darksiders and even de Blob. In the four weeks following its release, THQ has shipped 1.2 million copies of Darksiders in the US alone. THQ considers that a success and is already planning a sequel for their fiscal year 2012. THQ also reported a net income of $1.4 million and sales of $701.5 million in the final nine months of the year, compared with a net loss of $334.2 million, in the prior-year period.

He continued, “We expect to demonstrate continued improvement in fiscal 2011, after the significant turnaround in fiscal 2010. We believe this momentum will carry us into fiscal 2012, when we expect to see accelerated growth with three major core game titles scheduled. Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine,  a sequel to Darksiders, and a third generation of our popular Saints Row franchise.”

He went on to say: “In addition to meeting our financial targets, we launched two new franchises, UFC and Darksiders, and significantly strengthened our balance sheet. We also secured new long-term license agreements and continued to migrate our brands to digital platforms in order to drive THQ’s growth over the next several years.”

Seems THQ has managed to return from the verge of bankruptcy with a big bang. We look forward E3 (15th-17th June 10) where we believe THQ will demonstrate lots of those announced projects. You can read their Press release here.

لابد أن تقوم الشركات بعرض تقارير نتائج أعمالها للمستثمرين وتعرض فيها كيف كان الأداء خلال الربع الماضي وتناقش خططها المستقبلية لجلب المزيد من الأرباح. وهكذا فإن المدير التنفيذي لشركة THQ ورئيسها براين فاريل قام بكشف العديد من الأشياء في تقرير الشركة للربع الثالث. فأعلن بأنه سيتم طرح أجزاء جديدة للعبة Saint’s Row (تصدر في 2012) ، و لعبة Red Faction (تصدر في 2011)، و ألعاب Darksiders و de Blob. كما أعلنت الشركة بأنها قامت بشحن 1.2 مليون نسخة من لعبة Darksiders في الولايات المتحدة وحدها. واعتبرت ذلك نجاحاً كبيراً جعلها تخطط لإنتاج جزء جديد للعبة سيصدر في عام 2012. كما أعلنت تحقيق أرباح صافية بقدر 1.4مليون دولار ومبيعات بقيمة 701.5 مليون دولار خلال التسعة أشهر الماضية من السنة المالية.

ثم أكمل قائلاً ” نتوقع أن نشهد استمرار التحسن في الأداء خلال السنة المالية 2011 وذلك استكمالاً للنتائج الإيجابية لعام 2010. ونحن مؤمنون بأن هذا الاندفاع سيحملنا إلى عام 2012 بثقة، حيث سنشهد نمواً متسارعاً تدعمه ثلاثة ألعاب كبيرة من المخطط إطلاقها في ذلك العام، وهي Warhammer 40.000 Space Marine، والجزء الجديد من Darksiders والجيل لثالث من لعبتنا المشهورة Saints Row”.

يبدو من هذا التقرير بأن شركة THQ قد استطاعت تخطي الأزمة التي أوصلتها إلى شفير الإفلاس وهي عائدة بقوة كبيرة. نحن ننتظر بشوق مؤتمر E3 بين 15-17 يوليو 2010 حيث نعتقد أن شركة THQ ستقوم بعرض الكثير من هذه المشاريع المميزة التي أعلنت عنها.
