Dark Void tapped by Brad Pitt فيلم مأخوذ من قصة ‘دارك فويد‘ بطولة براد بيت

While the game is out mid January next year, Dark Void has already been licensed as a movie by Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment production house. There are rumours flying around that Pitt himself might be starring in the movie. No need to hold you breath though, the rights to the film have been brought, there is no word on a script or even when the production will start. Still, it’s good to know that the story for Dark Void was interesting enough for Brad Pitt to take an interest in it.

Los Angeles, CA (November 19, 2009) – Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment, under its Creative Partnership with Reliance BIG Entertainment, and Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, have come to terms on the film rights relating to Dark Void™, a new property from Capcom. The theatrical version of the Dark Void game is being developed as a sci-fi action franchise and potential starring vehicle for Pitt.

Capcom will release Dark Void on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and PC in North America on January 19, 2010 and across Europe on January 22, 2010.

Dark Void is an adrenaline-fuelled blend of aerial and ground-pounding combat which centers on Will, a pilot who crash lands in the Bermuda Triangle following a routine mission. Will wakes up to find himself in “The Void,” an alternate world resembling a primitive earth where aliens with superior technology are planning to take over civilization. Together with a faction of humans who have disappeared into the Void, Will takes on the alien race using their own advanced technology including a high-powered jet pack to defeat them and keep order in the civilized world.

Reliance BIG Entertainment, the flagship media and entertainment arm of Indian conglomerate, Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (R-ADAG), first introduced its innovative development/production financing deal, termed a Creative Partnership, with Plan B Entertainment at the Cannes Film Festival 2008.

Reliance BIG Entertainment’s Chairman Amit Khanna commented, ‘”We are delighted that our Creative Partnership with Plan B has led to this agreement to develop the Dark Void motion picture based on Dark Void along with Capcom and we look forward to future projects from them.”

“As a game, Dark Void was developed with a wide-screen mentality – a world full of adventure presented in cinematic scope and scale,” said Germaine Gioia, senior vice president, licensing, Capcom Entertainment. “Plan B recognized the potential of our newest property and are as excited about bringing Dark Void to life in cinemas as Capcom is to bring the interactive experience to home theaters.”

The deal was brokered by CAA on behalf of Reliance BIG Entertainment and Plan B, and by UTA on behalf of Capcom. Plan B was additionally represented in the deal by Jon Liebman and Cynthia Pett-Dante at Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

لوس انجلوس، كاليفورنيا (19 نوفمبر 2009) – اتفقت شركة ‘بلان بي’ للإنتاج المملوكة لـ‘براد بيت’ مع شركة ‘كابكوم’ الشركة الرائدة في مجال تطوير ألعاب الفيديو وشركة ‘ريلاينس بيج انترتاينمنت’ على إنتاج فيلم خيال علمي مأخوذ عن قصة لعبة ‘دارك فويد’ التي تملكها ‘كابكوم’ والتي ستطرح في الأسواق في يناير 2010 ومن المتوقع أن يقوم ‘بيت’ ببطولة الفيلم.
لعبة ‘دارك فويد’ تمثل معارك جوية وأرضية طاحنة ومشوقة محورها الطيار ‘ويل’ الذي يفقد وعيه أثر هبوطه إضطرارياً في مثلث ‘برمودا’ في إحدى طلعاته الروتينية، ويفيق ليجد نفسه في عالم الفراغ ‘فويد’ وهو عالم مواز يشبه الأرض في بداياتها حيث يخطط فضائيون متقدمون للسيطرة على الحضارة البشرية، ويناضل ‘ومعه مجموعة من البشر الذين اختفوا في هذا العالم الموازي ‘فويد’ مستغلين تقنيات الفضائيين والعبوات النفاثة القوية للقضاء على الفضائيين وحماية الحضارة البشرية.

صرح ‘آميت كانا’ رئيس مجلس إدارة ‘ريلاينس بيج إنترتينمنت’: يسرنا أن تؤدي شراكتنا مع شركة ‘بلان بي’ للإتفاق على إنتاج فيلم ‘دارك فويد’ المأخوذ ة قصته عن اللعبة التي طورتها شركة ‘كابكوم و’تحمل نفس الاسم، ونأمل في الدخول في المزيد من المشاريع مع الشركتين في المستقبل.

كما صرح ‘جيرمين جيويا’ نائب رئيس ‘كابكوم انترتينمنت’: أن لعبة ‘دارك فويد’ تصور عالم ملئ بالمغامرات تم تطويرها وفقاً لمقاييس الشاشة الكبيرة ومن منظورها، وأضاف قائلاً أن شركة ‘بلان بي’ رأت في أحدث ألعابنا إمكانات مثيرة للإنتباه، لذا سعت لإحياءها على الشاشة الكبيرة مثلما قدمت ‘كابكوم’ هذه التجربة لمنصات الألعاب.
